Hey boos, I've been getting a lot of questions on what colors i like to use for a smokey eye and below are some colors and tools i can't live without to achieve that perfect smokey eye...oh p.s i'm working on a tutorial as we speak, so keep posted!
highlight: orb (neutral white)
higher crease: soft brown (neutral brown)
lid: carbon (flat black)
crease: handwritten (dark brown)
-you can find all of these colors at mac cosmetics : )
*also, if you guys start with the lightest color first, you can get more use out of your brush, just so you don't have to clean it after every color
also, you might need these brushes to achieve that well blended smokey eye:

What do you think is the best color combo in eyeshadows using dark shadows when wearing dark red lipstick without it looking too dragqueen-ish?
ReplyDeleteHi friend...I dont know if I already answered this question, if i did i'm sorry for the second comment but if i didn't great. anyways, if you don't want to look like your wearing a ton of makeup, when wearing a dark red lipstick, try to soften up the eyes. Pick a "FOCUs" point on your face, whether its eyes or lips, skin or cheeks...have that as your focus point and everything else should be softer. I love to use just a light base all over the eye, orb is a great color from mac that I tend to use a lot and a soft brown shawdow in the crease (any light brown should do) Follow up with black or brown eyeliner. Keep it simple and neutral and a thin strip of false lashes would only make it that much prettier : ) There's no right way or wrong way to wear makeup, as long as its not too much you should be fine even if you did a light smokey eye and red lip. I love the drag look lol
ReplyDeleteThank you,very helpful :)
